Taleen Shamlian
Founder and Managing Director
Taleen Shamlian is a Non-Executive Director and trusted adviser with over 25 years of experience advising boards, executives and Ministers.
She has deep experience in the government, corporate, NFP, academic, advisory and community sectors, with expertise in economics, public policy and stakeholder governance. She is widely recognised for her strategic insight and leadership in complex regulatory and policy environments.

She was appointed Ambassador for Women’s Financial skills by the NSW Government, and was recognised by the NSW Governor of NSW The Hon. Margaret Beazley to be one of the top 20 women in business.
Taleen is an Honorary Lecturer at University of Sydney's School of Economics, where she developed a postgraduate course on the financial services sector. She also lectures in public sector management for the APS and State Public Services through QUT Business School.
She is a sought-after speaker and media commentator for AICD, AFR, Women on Boards, PwC, EY, USYD on topics including governance, financial services, women’s empowerment.
Taleen has deep knowledge of the financial services sector having advised various parties to the Royal Commission into Financial Services Industry, and holding senior roles as Head of Government Relations at Visa and the Commonwealth Bank.
Taleen started her career as an economist at Commonwealth Treasury working on tax, superannuation, fiscal strategy, and domestic forecasting.
She was a senior manager at the ACIL Allen Consulting where she advised Commonwealth and State governments on over 200 projects and evaluated policies in home care, aged care, social and health services, environmental, radiation, heritage, infrastructure and other industries.
She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), and Master of Public Policy (Merit) and Bachelor of Economics (First Class Honours) both from the University of Sydney.
